MEMBERS OF THE SOCIETY OF TOXICOLOGY OF CANADA SHALL:

  • Conduct themselves, their research and their other activities with integrity, objectivity, honesty and candor, recognizing a responsibility to improve public interests and well-being
  • Strive to advance their professional knowledge and understanding of toxicology and promote its responsible application
  • Avoid real or perceived situations involving professional or personal conflict of interest, and openly disclose any such conflicts when they do arise
  • Recognize and give appropriate credit to the accomplishments and contributions of others
  • Follow all laws and regulations, both in letter and in spirit, governing the conduct of human and animal research
  • Present information and results in an accurate, truthful, timely and unbiased manner, acting with an understanding of the potential implications on the field of toxicology, society in general, and governmental policies
